38 SPECIAL is the alias of a multidisciplinary creative operating out of State College, Pennsylvania.
Being a 13 year old kid making dumb soundcloud rap turned into playing rock songs with my high school friends. In that effort, I got involved with the SC DIY scene when I was 16, and got involved by making flyers, and eventually, booking shows- my first one being a punk night at Webster’s in the fall of 2022.
But- nothing happens by itself. Whether that was producing my own music, or booking my own shows, or creating print media for others- I forged a diverse skillset that allows me to act as a comprehensive creative agent.
I do not just book shows; I curate environments. Whether it’s shoegaze, web design, or a Sarah McLachlan promo spoof, the goal is always the same: high impact, zero friction.
